Truth
I think one of the reasons I dig Gordon Ramsay (shows: Kitchen Nightmares and Hell’s Kitchen) is that he just says it, no matter what IT is and no matter who is hurt by IT, he just says IT – the bare naked TRUTH.
I think I live with so much fluff and dancing-around-the-bush that when I hear someone being dreadfully honest it is so refreshing.
I want to get a fresh and direct perspective on life but feel most of the time my feelings are more important to people. I’m not without emotion and can get hurt by the truth. But that’s what I want. In the beginning I may be hurt but can usually recover enough to see the importance of what is being communicated. I can’t make progress, gain momentum, or grow significantly without an honest evaluation of who and where I am.
That requires an outside perspective that is honest and caring. It isn’t very clear whether Gordon Ramsay actually cares about the people he “helps” in his shows by telling the truth but I like to think he does.
Please be courageous and speak the truth while caring for people and for me. I’ll try to do the same.
